Hydro & Renewable Energy Power Plants

Synergy Group represents various internationally renowned Engineering Firms in the field of Hydro Power Generation, Wind Mill Power Generation, Geo-thermal and Solar Energy.

ALSTOM Hydro jointly with VOITH Hydro are actively persuing Mini-Hydro projects with the Hydro Power Plant Electricity Authority (HPPEA).

Projects:
Assiut Grand Barrage Project (Lot 3):
The project is based on a turn-key basis with the complete electro-mechanical scope including Hydro Bulb Turbines, Generators and Balance of Plant (BoP).

Damietta Mini-Hydro Power Plant:
HPPEA is currently preparing a tender documents for a Mini-Hydro Power Plant. VOITH Hydro will be participating in the electromechanical scope (Lot 3).

Gabal El Zeit 250 MW Wind Mill Park (BOO):
NREA / EEHC issued prequalification and tender documents for a 250 MW Wind Mill Park on a Built-Own-Operate Basis (BOO) and Synergy represents 2 prequalified companies namely TERNA Wind from Greece and ENEL Wind from Italy. The project bidding will commence in early 2012. This project will be one of the largest wind mill parks as a single unit worldwide.

High Dam Generators Rehabilitation Project - Ministry of Electricity & Energy:
VOITH Hydro - Germany was awarded in 2005 the entire Rehabilitation & Modernization of the 12 main generators and auxiliary generators, excitation systems MG and AG pole coils, stator frame/ core, stator windings, auxiliary generators, cooling water systems, fire alarm system, monitoring systems, rotor brake system, general works, erection and commissioning, which were originally built and installed by the Russians in 1960. The rehabilitation project was successfully completed in July 2011.
